Our First Newsletter

Hello everyone,
We just wanted to get this newsletter out to let you know that we are very excited about our new brewery and tasting room and can't wait to get the doors open. 
Our team  Bob, Kevin, Kirk and Tim are homebrewers that have over 50 years of brewing experience combined.  Bob has won multiple national metals for his recipes and brewing. 
As months go by we will feature articles on what's happening at the brewery, new brews, seasonal brews, what's going on at the local breweries, recipes (both beer and food) as well as any upcoming events either at the brewery or ones we will be attending.

Where we are currently

Things are progressing.  We are waiting on approval from the Water and Health departments.  We will then be installing our utilities in the brewery.  Once those are inspected and approved we can install our equipment, which is waiting anxiously to get up and running.  We're shooting for a mid-January or early February opening.  We will know more by the middle of December.

Just in case you were wondering

A growler is a U.S. half gallon glass jug used to transport draft beer in the United States.  They are commonly sold at breweries and brewpubs as a means to sell take-out beer.  Growlers got their name from the sound that the CO2 made when it escaped from the lid as the beer sloshed around.  It dates back to the 19th century when fresh beer was carried from the local pub to one's home by means of a galvanized pail. Growlers are generally made of glass and have either a screw-on cap or hinged porcelain gasket cap which can provide freshness for a week or more.(1)
